By car

 

From Barcelona, you have to take the A7 motorway (to Girona/France). When you arrive in Girona, you must take exit 7 (“Girona Sur”, Girona South). From France, you can arrive taking also the A7 and the same exit.

 

By train

 

There are high-speed (AVE), interurban and regional trains going to Girona from Madrid, Barcelona, Narbonne, Perpignan, etc. For further information concerning routes and timetables, please see the previous links. 

 

By plane

 

The city of Girona has a little airport in which some low-cost flights from different points in Spain and Europe arrive. There is bus or taxi service connecting the airport to the centre of the city.

 

You can also take a flight to Barcelona and then take a train to Girona from there. There is a train from the airport to Sants train station (Barcelona) every 30 minutes. For further information concerning timetables, please refer to the information service of Renfe. From the airport, you can also access line 9 in the metro and get to Sants train station after transferring. There are trains getting to Girona from this point regularly.
